This
traditional Alpujarran village house is in the historic village
of Mecina Bombaron close to the Parque natural in the Alpujarran
region of Andalucia.
The house although
needing quite a lot of modernisation appears to be structurally
sound. Some modernisation work has been started by the current owners
but more work will be needed.
When the house is completed it will make a lovely home or holiday
property with good rental potential.
On the ground
floor there is a large room previously a stable for the mules and
other animals, which can be converted very reasonably into further
accommodation.

The
first floor has the current sitting room, a bedroom and a further
room to be converted which is quite a large room and would easily
be converted into an ensuite bedroom. This property has many rustic
and traditional features and with sympathetic renovation could be
enhanced even further.
The upper floor
has the current kitchen with an open fireplace and two further rooms
and a staircase leading to a door onto the roof.
The views from
the roof are spectacular and on a clear day you can see the Mediterranean
over the Sierra de Contraviesa.
We would however
advise that before using this terrace as a roof terrace that it
be checked by a specialist and strengthened if necessary.
There are many
places to visit of interest , and some wonderful walks through the
Parque Natural and the Sierra Nevada.
The village
has shops, banks, restaurants and schools and is one of the popular
villages in the Alpujarras.
