A large Cortijo
situated on the Sierra de Contraviesa
with many outbuildings. This is a traditional working
Cortijo producing numerous grapes, fruits and nuts and the very
expensive commodity wild saffron! The property is very traditional
and abounds with rustic style. Beams. large open fireplaces and
many traditional nooks and crannies.
This
Cortijo although in need of serious updating is sound and habitable
after the addition of a bathroom and toilet..
The
property has 23 rooms in total some of which are stables and stores
and there is a large open area on the first floor ripe for conversion
into bedrooms and bathrooms.
There
is also a Bodega which has all the equipment neccessary for making
your own wine,Barrels and a grape press etc. The Sierra de Contraviesa
is famous for its wines and is now producing more and more with
the re-introduction of vineyards to the area. Thirty years a blight
affected the vines and all were lost , but now after a lengthy period
of growing almonds and figs landowners in the area are introducing
more and more vines back on to the land.

Part of the land is on the other side of the Murtas road and has
the most incredible views to the Sierra Nevada to the North and
to the Mediterranean in the South. It would be possible to build
a seperate house there with the correct permissions in place.
This property
has mains water and its own spring which fills the deposit with

and or Solar panels but there is expected to be mains electricity
available in the area very soon.

and schools. 20 mins drive to the coast and about 90 mins to both
