A pretty village house with garden for renovation in the Las Alpujarras.
This
house is in the popular of Juviles famous for the jamon which is
sent to the village to be dried on account of the pure mountain
air, the altitude (said to produce a much better tasting jamon)
and the mountain spring water.
The
village is unspoilt and very popular with visitors as it is situated
on the GR7 which makes it a must for the walkers and hikers who
visit the Alpujarras all year round.
The
house is in effect detached as it is only joined to another property
by the wall at the back adjoining the old stable.
The
ground floor of the house is still in the form of stables and animal
quarters but which offer the potential for at least six more large
rooms.
Stairs
lead up to the first floor which has been used until very recently
as living accommodation.

The
central salon has a french window with tiny balcony looking onto
the garden all the other rooms are situated off this central salon.
There is a traditional kitchen with fireplace and bread oven,
Bathroom, and 4 other rooms mainly used as bedrooms.
The
roof is in the traditional alpujarran style and could be converted
to a roof terrace offering fantastic views over the village to the
Sierra de Contraviesa.
A
separate doorway to the rear of the house enters into a large stable/bodega
which could be converted to provide further accommodation or for
a possible separate rental property.
To
the front of the property is a garden requiring a little attention
to make a very pretty area for sitting out and enjoying the village
life.
The
nearest thing to a rush hour here is when the donkeys and mules
pass by laden down with crops after a day in the fields with their
owner!
This
property would make a lovely home and would also generate a good
rental income should it be used as a holiday property.
